women and their babies reached with prenatal vitamins and minerals since 2013

In West Virginia, both infant mortality and preterm birth are higher than the national average. For instance, with 1 in 9 babies born too soon. In addition, high poverty rates amongst women of reproductive age can make it harder to pay for services and products that support healthy pregnancies. For example, only about 44% of women reported taking a multivitamin the month prior to pregnancy.

Together, we continue to increase access to prenatal vitamins and minerals for low-income and underserved pregnant women in West Virginia toward healthier babies and healthier generations to come.
