women and their babies reached with prenatal vitamins and minerals since 2013
Virginia is taking decisive action to improve local birth outcomes. The state has expanded and extended Medicaid, meaning more women are insured before, during, and after their pregnancies. Additionally, Virginia has established a maternal mortality review team and a perinatal quality collaborative, which help the state understand more about adverse birth outcomes and how to reduce them. As a result, more Virginian babies are living to celebrate their first birthdays.
Together, we’re doing our part to help improve birth outcomes by expanding access to prenatal vitamins and minerals for underserved and at-risk pregnant women throughout Virginia.
