Almost three-quarters of pregnant women in Indiana began receiving prenatal care during their first trimester. However, inadequate prenatal care impacts many, with 40% of countries having no doctors specializing in prenatal care per 100,000 residents.

When COVID-19 hit in 2020, one of Vitamin Angels’ local program partners in Indiana was quick to adapt. The organization modified protocols to distribute prenatal vitamins and minerals through a no-contact drop-off/pick-up process to ensure pregnant women had safe and reliable access throughout the pandemic.

Through the dedication and ingenuity of organizations like this, our partnership continues to make an impact for pregnant women and their babies in Indiana and beyond.
