Vitamin Angels trips are unique. These aren’t missions or volunteer trips, but rather, an educational opportunity to observe the power of partnership. We go to learn from our local program partners and see firsthand how nutrition interventions are helping to promote positive change in communities around the world.
Just as important is our intention is to foster personal connections across cultures. We are generously welcomed into people’s homes and lives, giving both parties the chance to become friends with someone they may never have met otherwise.
The purpose of our conversations with families, and mothers in particular, is to empower them to tell their stories. Amplifying their voices is one of the most impactful ways we can advance our goal of ending malnutrition.
